I have finally decided to create this website to help other people like me get back on their feet. It is not an exaggeration to say that over the years I have been suffering from chronic pain in my foot, and having tried everything there is to get rid of my plantar fasciitis, I can offer an unbiased view of the various treatments there are to help people get back on their feet and start running again. I am proud to stand here and say that I have just completed my third marathon and my problems with plantar fasciitis are long gone.
The ugly truth is that Plantar Fasciitis is usually developed by overweight people. Quite simply, overweight people carry too much weight around and their feet are the ultimate bearers of this weight. It’s a little known fact that over 10% of general population suffers from plantar fasciitis at some point during their life. Over two million Americans every year develop this condition!
But this painful inflammation of foot has also been dubbed a “runner’s disease”. Athletes and runners in particular often suffer from plantar fasciitis as a result of over-training or simply bad running technique. Their plantar, and other foot muscles develop too quickly and without proper stretching along the way they contract and start inflaming.
Treatment does not necessarily mean surgery though. There are many other options such as massage therapy, motion control shoes, heat or cold therapy, orthotics, rest, stretching, weight loss or night splints.
This website offers simple explanation of what Plantar Fasciitis is and how it can be treated, based on a personal experience that I will share with you.
Take a look around this website and good luck in getting back on your feet!
